  • If you could only go to one restaurant...

Will be on Marco Island shortly. Doing this one on a very low budget.

If you could go to only one fabulous seafood restaurant which one would it be?

    Ok maybe two.....

Ya gotta go to Snook Inn by the Marco River on Bald Eagle Dr. from Collier Blvd. ~~ They don't take reservations & its located at the end of Bald Eagle Dr. ~~ Best seafood on the Island & a great place to go for some entertainment ~~ You won't be disappointed ~~ For some breakfast try Susie's Breakfast & Lunch on Collier or Breakfast Plus Restaurant (<----- Definitely this one, their menu is great) ~~ Pelican Bend on Capri Blvd on Capri Island ~~ You can see their exit as you are comin-in to Marco Island before the bridge ~~ Old Marco Pub & Restaurant has very good seafood & steak ~~ Ifin you are lookin for some pizza try Joey's Pizzeria & Pasta House ~~ very good ~~

Lawren ~~ We are bout 45 minutes away here in Bonita Springs ~~ Ifin you have some time on your hands we can get together for a couple of drinks or what ever ~~ Don't know ifin Frank gave ya some cigars for me or not ~~ He didn't say for sure ~~ Let me know ifin ya can ~~

This may not be the popular vote and I am not ultra picky although it will seem so after I cast my vote.

Well we went to Snook and it was ok. Lunch meals were around 11-13. Had the grouper sandwich.Dinner is a bit more and there are buffets on certain nights. It is down the road from the Rose Marina.

Little Bar in Goodland seemed to be a pretty seedy area so we left. Nothing at all like Marco proper. Neither my husband or myself felt comfortable in the area.

Captain Brian's across from Charter Club has New England Seafood. Captain Brien's Seafood and Raw Bar Restaurant Marco Island Florida

There is a Carrabbas just when one turns left to head to Naples. Mussel appetizer in garlic broth is yummy and there are a lot of mussels.

On Marco dinner is in the mid -twenty range pp. so when on a tight budget we dine out for lunch instead. Local newspaper has some coupons for certain nights. If you like BBQ Michelbobs on Collier North is very good and inexpensive.

Little Bar is in a fishing village with lots and lots of families. I have been there with other women and never felt uncomfortable. JMHO, Linda

                    Title Misled me...

"If you could eat at only one restaurant..."

I intended to say that it would be Ann's Country Kitchen in Hazel, KY (though this would not even be in Rita's top 20 as she is much more sophisticated in taste than a backwoods Kentucky fella), but the nearest thing to seafood at Ann's is the farm-raised catfish (but mighty fine eatin' nevertheless).

For a map which features Hazel and its distance to Murray see:

Not sure if it will be on Sunday or Monday yet. I have to most likely change my route to take the Palisade's.

Monday morning would be impossible for me....You can take the thruway if it is easier for you but the Palisades coming off the GW is 15 miles shorter than taking the Deegan.
