  • ? re: Hapimag Lake Berkley *Rental* (#6950)

Posted the following question on TUG and didn't get any responses, so thought I would try this board.

Does anyone have any info on the RCI listing for Hapimag Lake Berkley *Rental* (#6950)? It's in Orlando area. RCI doesn't provide much info on the resort. (Maybe it went under a different name in the past?)

It keeps showing up in the Extra Vacations in RCI, and I'm curious about it since it's a 3 bedroom unit and is available for the time frame I need.

Thanks for any info you can provide!

Did you see any of the reviews, like on Yahoo or Trip Advisor?

Actually, the trip advisor reviews are all positive to 5 (best) (means suspect posts) but the last one is a one. (Lowest).

Not near Disney, but seems OK in general

Yes, saw the reviews on tripadvisor, but always like input from fellow TUGgers. And there is no review on the TUG review board for this resort.

Hello, Both my sister and my son have stayed at Hapimag on separate timeshare weeks, it is very nice. The resort is off of Rte. 192 in Kissimmee it is in back of Wal Mart not too far from Lake Wilson Road. The timeshares are very nice, almost like a house, have upstairs bedrooms and large living rooms, washer and dryer in the unit. You will need a car if you are staying here as it is not in the resort area, but it is very very nice. TerryC

Hapimag is the oldest timeshare company in the world. In fact they started timeshare. They are a Swiss company, and have operated a points-based mini-system from the very beginning. They don't generally affiliate or exchange through RCI, II, or any other independent but may provide some rentals. Almost all of their resorts are in Europe. I saw their new resort on Castle Hill in Budapest a couple of years ago; it is without question the best located timeshare in that country.

They followed RCI into the rental game, which doesn't go down well with some of their members. Here they are apparently even using RCI as one of their rental outlets!
