Just got back from VVP
We just got back from Vacation Village at Parkway. It was our first time staying "off property". We are part-DVC owners (with my brother) and hadn't been planning on going this year as we have an infant, but our other plans weren't working out, so we ended up getting a last call through RCI at VVP. Turns out it was our most relaxing Orlando vacation yet. We only spent three days in the parks this time, planning a fair bit of down time with our young one. We had been planning on going out to see the shuttle launch, but that was cancelled. VVP was a nice resort, not Disney for sure, but pretty close. We loved the location and the rooms were great for our family. I tried to resist the invitations to the resort presentation, but finally, they reached my threshhold for going on one of our "down time" days. They were fairly pushy, but we stood our ground. Still, not as bad as the TS presenters in Mexico. I think their final offer was for an EOY in RCI points with about 94000 points for 12K. Looked on Ebay when I got home and can get for less than half that easy. Just reminded me why I don't plan on buying from the developer any more. Still, had a great vacation and actually returned home feeling fairly relaxed, rather than just plain worn out.
