Has anyone been to this museum in Pensacola, FL? If so what did you think and any recommendations on close motels?

It has been a long time since I was there, although I hope to get back one of these days, as the collection has grown. If you are an aviation buff, then you should go. My family has long history in Naval Aviation, starting with my grandfather in WWI. Have you checked their website for information?
I can't help you on motels, although some of the Gulf Coast timeshares are close by.

Do you think Children would enjoy it? I looked at their website and it looks interesting. If we go, we would like to catch the Blue Angels practice. We saw them at an air show and they were great!

It probably depends on the children's ages and interests, but they do have some exhibits and activities for children. The Blue Angels are based at NAS Pensacola, but they used to spend the winter training out west. I do recall watching them train part of the year in Pensacola when I was stationed there. Even when their training flights are a good show.
