For a couple of months I have been searching Florida resorts on the beach that have units to accomodate 8 or more, for Summer 2009.

8 on the list have shown up, but no units for 8.

One of the 8 has been Little Gull. It shows up, gets taken, shows up again, gets taken, etc.

The other 7 resorts have not changed once.

Is your calendar broke? It's March!

OK, OK, I'm sure for girls' week out, so the littlest girls can spend a week on the beach with all the bigger (and older) girls. We took their Dad and uncles at about the age the oldest youngun will be in 09.

That's what got us in this mess to begin with. We went to Florida and did a couple of craft shows on Sat and Sun, then spent the next week in Orlando.

We toured all the biggies and wound up buying by the end of the week, the reason being that that week was the first vacation we had ever taken.

That was almost 20 years ago.

And, Yes, it was summer. Then we took the extended family back the next summer.

Someone would have to pay me to be in Florida during summer...

We booked Little Gull for Feb09. We also booked the Sandpiper and Cameron Cove. I agree that there are very few 2 bedrooms on the Gulf Coast that are available to trade into and you need to grab them when they do.
