Anyone know if there any days that Key West does NOT have cruise ships in port? Am contemplating a day trip, would prefer to do it on the least-likely-to-be-more-congested-than-usual day...

Unfortunately, the ferry from Marco Island stops the week before i get there, so will have to drive back to Ft Myers if I want to go... I guess it'll be a last minute decision, I hate driving more than a few minutes once I arrive at my destination...

Is this the round trip ferry? Why is it stopping - is it a 'seasonal' thing?

I still think it would be a nice day trip but I hear you about driving
FWIW, we avoid Charlotte Amalie when there are ships in town - you notice I said I went to the Marriott to see 'my' ship (and have a martini on the outdoor terrace overlooking the harbor) - we were there so often on this last trip, I think the concierge and the bar tenders thought we were staying there.
