I never met him but we had something in common. He loved his Macintosh too so we exchanged several notes over time. He also loved this area as he remembered it well from his youth and shared some stories with me. He stayed in Newport Beach not too long ago and visited family. I wished I had met him then. I feel for his family, who lost him. My sincere condolences to them.

Ken posted some pictures in his Mac web album that may soon disappear. I recognized some faces. You may like to see them here.

              Frank,
Keeping this on top of the forum forever is a great thing you have done.
As i've written on TUG i didn't know Ken, but after reading all those posts I feel that i have learned what a remarkable man he was to all. My condolences to his wife Barbara and his family. R.I.P. Ken

Maria and I paid our respects by going down to Hollywood Beach and having a few Margarita. I toasted Ken. He was the real deal.

Frank I'm so happy you did this. We were fortunate to meet Frank and Barbara at Shawnee several years ago and we enjoyed one of his great dinners. We were driving into New York City for the first time and his directions got us right to our parking garage where we were leaving the car with no trouble. He will be missed.

                      Frank,

Was Ken K a Monopoly Champion by chance?

There is documentary being filmed about The Monopoly Championship and the film crew came to the school where I work today and filmed some students playing Monopoly with a Monopoly Champion. So, I was reading the story in our local paper online and found this link Under the Boardwalk - A MONOPOLY Documentary to see about the filming. I click on the trailer at the bottom and starting watching and then up comes the 2003 Monopoly Champion Ken Koury. I am almost positive this is the same man. I never knew Ken but I know he was well loved and if this is him, that you would all probably enjoy "seeing" him again.

I second this that KenK be kept on top of the forum for all that had crossed path's!

I know Ken is the one that had me try Tug which also lead me here from TripAdvisor. I just never new how important he was on TripAdvisor until he was gone.

I still visit TripAdvisor but not as much because of just noticing the information and help wasn't the same any longer.

The vacation site has turned boring at times with little timeshare knowledge as before.

Seems to just be all over the place and with many people that really not helping others and more just making their statements and moving on.

Sorry to disagree with you Frank but that was his last name, just spelled with an 'I' at the end.
HOWEVER, I viewed the trailer and that is not our KenK.

                            Thanks for trying Stressy

It might have been an email or sign on moniker but I believe his last name was Kekouri. I always just knew him as Ken K. He was a great guy; lots of knowledge and always willing to impart some of it to others. For those who had the good fortune to meet him, here is a picture from a TUG getogether many years ago in Orlando (he's the second from the right--next to Craig Urbine, former VP at Interval International:
