  • When do I pay the $95 DVC fee?

On my exchange confirmation it says the $95 fee will be on my account at the resort, but I thought I had read that people call ahead to pay it? I made my Magical Express ressies already and they didn't require it? They did ask me if I was also a DVC member, which I am, so does that make a difference?

At check in at the resort.

My experience is that it doesn't matter if you are/aren't a DVC member.

I took the Magical Express bus from MCO before paying the fee.

    Where are you staying ?

DVC member services has changed when you pay it. Now for II exchanges, you pay it at check-in at the front desk.

Yes, at check in at the resort.

All my DVC stays have been through II exchanges and I have always paid the $95 fee at the front desk.

This is one of my favorite resorts, but I haven't written a review!
              I should have.

It's also one of our favorites - we love it! It is our DVC home resort and I keep wanting to try another resort but end up at OKW! We just stayed there in February in a 1BR but only for 1 night before checking into Marriott Cypress Harbour.

It is quite nice. I've exchanged in twice. Very relaxed feel to the resort. A decent restaurant. Boat service to Downtown Disney (and the Adventurer's Club---Kungaloosh!) A good fraction of the units have decent views to either a small water feature or the golf course. Somehow, the units are laid out in a way that makes them feel quite private. We often spend afternoons just hanging out on our deck with a tasty beverage, enjoying the quiet.

The interiors are not plush, but very comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped. I would probably not take a studio here, but the 1BR and 2BR are both good-sized. Full-size washer/dryer.

The biggest downside is if you have noisy neighbors, you will get to know them personally. The insulation between the studio and 1BR sides of the lockoffs is particularly poor.
