Does Orange Lake have day use for owners?

Yes they do. When we bought several years ago they issued owners cards to owners. When you get to the gate you just show your card and they let you in. I don't think they still issue these cards but you just tell them you are an owner when you get to the gate. The guard will check this out at the front desk. To be sure I would call ahead to OLCC and ask what their procedure is to get in, if you have no proof that you are an owner.

From what I've been told, OLCC use to issue the cards that ljane mentions but stopped doing it roughly 10 years ago. The cards that show membership is the Global Access cards. Most guards will let you in at the gate if you tell them you are an owner. Some will give you a hassle about needing an owners card at which point they will show you a blue card. The blue card has no name on it but was created by OLCC because owners when they were staying there wanted to get their discount which is usually done by showing their room key. Since they didn't have a room key, it was hard to show that they were an owner and so the blue cards were created. If you wish to get the discount, you need to go to owners service and they will give you one for the day. This may seem to be putting the cart before the horse but some guards think of these cards as your proof of ownership yet there is no name anywhere on card. Sort of like having a drivers license with no picture and address on it. I've actually been denied access to the resort at one gate by not having the card but was allowed in the other gate. I filed a complaint with one of the Global Access reps. I like the idea of having to check the ID but either they send out member cards or have the gate individual have the ability to verify owners but don't deny owners access.

ljane, I wished there were a private forum where only owners could discuss issues at OLCC. I don't think the annual meeting really reflect owner's concerns; at OLCC and any other timeshare

        Gary,

You can ask Big Frank to set up a forum here for owners, but need someone to be the owner of the forum.

That may be an idea but the real question would be if there were enough owners who would be interested.

An issue may be the number who have posted OL comments elsewhere, and got a less than warm welcome, who now find things more accomodating and pleasant here.
