  • Landmark- Panama City Beach - March 18-25, 2006

We are going to be at the Landmark Holiday Beach Resort, from March 18 to 25, 2006.

We are looking to take one or two of our younger grandchildren with us. Ages 5 and 3.

Folks that have been there this time of the year, do you think this will be a problem Our daughter is having second thoughts about letting them go, so I told her that I would do some checking.

    Thanks

We will going and taking our 5 year old grandson. Mother thinks the 3 year old isn't old enough to go - probably more of a Mommy issue than the 3 year old issue, but she is the Mother.

What is there to do in the area for a 5 year old boy? I have looked on the internet and have come up with a list of possible activites, but wanted some first hand input. Sometimes what a Grandfather thinks they would like is influenced by what he wants the child to like, vs what the child would like. It was almost 54 years ago that I was 5, how could I know. It was a different time back then, anyways.

Landmark Christmas and in March Also

Rita and I began taking Zachary there when he was two. We have been there in March and at Christmas with him.

The nearest grocery is east (turn right out of Landmark, or left from the parking lot across the street) about 3/4 of a mile on the north side of the road.

Best place for breakfast is across the street beside the minit mart.

We are making good use of the Winn-Dixie and the pool. They are doing beach work, 24 hours a day. They should be far enough west that we can start using the beach again. I guess that they are reshaping the beach after the hurricanes last year. It will be in good shape when they are finish. Just hope another hurricane doesn't come this way again for a while.

The trip was a success for our grandson. We spent time in the pool, time on the beach, Pirate Cruise, Gulf World, Zoo World, Miniature golf, etc. It was a fun filled week. We were on the west end of Panama City Beach and didn't have any problems with Spring Breakers.
