Help Bring BBQ Grills to Orange Lake

I've never yet used a BBQ grill at a resort. Now Orange Lake is a place at which I may never stay. I have a theory that they do something to the water there that has a cumulative mind controlling effect - the more you stay there the more defensive and nasty you get defending OL. Probably BBQ food counteracts that water treatment, so they will never allow them knowingly on the premises.

I am finally starting to understand your humor. That's a good one. But, you should have posted it over yonder in honor of JLB.

I Am Sincere About This
Speaking of which, check the thread out.
I've had some interesting mail.
I am sincere about this request to contact Orange Lake. I realize that one non-owner repeatedly pointing out the lack of grills (and hot tubs) is just as irritating to some as one owner staunchly stating that her home resort would never consider such a move, a position many have taken to be smug and snobbish, the implication being that her home resort is too elite to provide amenities only heathens would enjoy.
At least it is a topic that others have found to be amusing, one that did not really harm anyone in any way.
I decided the best way to settle this ridiculous tit-for-tat would be for OL to install grills. I see this as a positive step to resolve the issue.
Let OL decide.
I have been as intimate with OL as any non-owner can be with a resort, for nearly 20 years now. It was our first tour and we have been back many times. We have grown in timesharing as OL as grown as a resort. Well, up to a point.
I have talked with those in Customer Service there many times and they have always been friendly and helpful. Even if they can't all get their stories straight, it seems that they try.
In such a huge resort things do fall through the cracks.
To illustrate that they are open to suggestions, consider the recent ban on smoking in units (villas). That was done after a public survey, one in which non-owners could voice their opinion (whether or not that was the intention).
Since it was decided Over Yonder that this is not a fit topic for discussion, this same request there will soon be gone. I am relying on those here to keep it alive.
I am not saying that you have to BBQ when you go to a resort, just that you allow those who want to to BBQ. You likely do not use all the amenities at all the resorts, and certainly not everyone uses the grills at resorts that have them, but that should not prevent those who want them from having them.
Thank you for your consideration.

Unfortunately, this subject has a lot of undertones to it.
