Obviously you decided against Marco but I found a Sanibel. My family stayed here last April. Very small apartments but we loved this little place. There is a review here for it.

That one looks good too, but we need a 2 bedroom. Im still holding out though ...

We have to be in orlando for an Elks convention from 7/3/2010 to 7/8/2010. I think we are going to "add" to that a week before in SW Florida if possible. So now Im holding out for that week for 2010.

I know I'm a little late, but Club Regency is one of our favorite SW FL resorts. If you consider it again, there are beachfront/gulffront units and there are ones that aren't. More that aren't than are.

Ours wasn't beachfront/gulffront, but it was still one of the better choices in SW FL.

IM still searching for 2009, and Im hoping for club regency! it looks VERY nice there.

Im wondering when I will hit on something. Hopefully in the next couple of months.

As most know, I quit trying ongoing searches many years ago.

To get what we have gotten I search online almost every day, first thing in the morning (my morning). Since sharing with others and others sharing back began, through Sightings OY many years ago, no one has ever come up with anything good that I have missed because I did not use ongoing searches.

At the same time, some have said I would be more successful if I would try ongoing searches. That seems kinda illogical since we have always gotten what we want eventually.

Every now and then something good shows up. For summer dates there would be good stuff more often than for Snowbird Season.

Not being able to see something because of poor trading power is another issue, and not one that ongoing searches would correct, I don't think. But, then, I am just a guy who has done tens of thousands of searches.

Just playing around, when I searched Sanibel/Captiva/Marco and Naples for next summer, I saw 5 resorts, none of which were great.

When I changed the search to Englewood to Marco Coastal, I see 18 resorts, some of which we would take, although none of the really top resorts are available, like the HGVCs.

Thats what we see too. Im going to keep the ongoing search, and i have another week i use to check the exchanges each day too. hopefully ill find one of the good hgvc resorts.

Something will turn up. A little RCI roulette may come into play but definately do-able.
