  • OLCC 4 day/ 3 night package

My in-laws own at OLCC and they are always raving about how nice it is, etc. But after reading some of the postings here, I don't think OLCC is any nicer than where we own (Sheraton Vistana). Unfortunately, I booked a 3 night package (2 BR) at OLCC for Easter break. I now want to cancel with OLCC and get a package with Starwood which will not only get us a nicer resort but also would include tickets to Universal, dinner, movie & City Walk all for the same price. Were OLCC only will give me the accommodation and use of their facility.

My question is, has anyone ever cancelled their 3 night package with OLCC? They said that I would lose my $200 deposit (because it's passed 14 days from the day I purchased it) but it could be applied to the same package up to a year. Can I transfer the package in someone else's name?

    Thanks in advance!

Will you still be able to get something else at Easter Break. There isn't much time.

Is there a big difference if you stay at OLCC now, or re do it later? Can you still get that other package later (it does seem like a better deal).

I don't knowif you are allowed to give the package to someone else. Did they ask you about your income, or other 'personal' type questions?

I don't think its going to be as bad as you think if you do go to this. OLCC is a super large place, with many different sections, some newer than others. If they are going to try to sell you a T/S week....I don't think you will be seeing some of the 'older' sections.

If you are stuck...go anyway. I thought by now some others would have some ideas....

I would not cancel. OL is still my favorite resort in Orlando. Just keep in mind that you may get an older unit but the resort is huge with many pools and water parks.

Yes, when I called back, OLCC asked me did I know of any other family or friends that would want to take my place, which I don't. They didn't ask me about income or personal questions, which is surprising since there are requirements for timeshare presentations. But then again there isn't anything included (tickets, dinner, etc) other than accomodations. If we hadn't plan on going to IOA & US, then I would have went to OLCC, but since Starwood is offering the same 2BR package INCLUDING these tickets, dinner, etc. I think this is our best option. I do have a year to use the OLCC lodging pkg which I doubt if we will be going back to Florida within a year, so I'll have to find a family or friend to use it. But then again, River Island will probably be open, so we may re-think about going back to Orlando.
