I agree with the latter, that some people do not know that is bad thing to do . . . well, until someone chews their @$$ out in front of the world for doing it (innocently).

Oh, wait, I was having a flashback.

Most class actions I've been asked to join have been at the request of the law firm, not a personal email. There are things in this world that make one pause before acting.

Short of successful lawsuits because a developer of HOA acts outside the written contract, has there ever been a successful class action lawsuit against the developer? I am aware of the state of MO's AG's involvement in timeshare and vacation club scams but I'm not aware of any successful individual or class actions against a developer by owners.

        Every little bit helps.

Every act of bad behavior that goes on public record reduces the likeliehood of a recurrence.

It's better than sitting on the sideline bitching, but doing nothing.

          Hello

I think we all together can win, yes if you look online there are few class action suit from westgate, so why ours cann't??, we all have the tools so, of course if the class action is just 1 person is almost imposible to win, but if the number of persons are more than 10 and they all have the same complaint, this is another think, we are not going to get discorage, this situacion need to stop. I do live in Florida and I hate to say but Florida is full of time share scam like O.L.R., so I be more than happy to make public this situacion, we all made mistake to go there, because the discount tickest ormaybe enjoy vacation for less money, but what we want with this is advice people to don't make the same financial suicede that we did. I would love to tell everyone like I did to my sister, go there enjoy everything, but don't buy, and that's what she did, hahahahha, I was so happy went I hear from them that they did have good time and didn't buy nothing hahahahha.

With so many suits, and interest in more, I believe it would be more effective through a state agency, AG or whatever is appropriate, because that agency will see all them, a pattern will emerge, and the likelihood for success would be greater than separate civil suits handle by separate attornies in different courts.

If you have an AG, or other agency, that has done this before, why not use them?

Seriously, what are you trying to accomplish that the AG won't do?

To repeat myself, a private attorney will be tempted by settlement $$$ for themselves, not for you.

Sorta like running two threads talking about the same thing, it's not as effective.

HOLIDAY INN CLUB VACATIONS to recognize top sales performers!

Thought this press release might interest some of you!

              *******

ORLANDO (Feb. 25, 2010) – Holiday Inn Club Vacations, the timeshare brand created as a strategic alliance between IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), the world’s largest hotel group, and timeshare industry leader Orange Lake Resorts, is celebrating another record-breaking year by recognizing their top sales consultants at their annual, invitation-only Sales Awards Gala. The event takes place on Thursday, March 11th at House of Blues in Orlando’s Downtown Disney.

The theme for the awards celebration is aptly named “A Night with the Masters,” a dual tribute, first to the elite class of sales consultants who will be recognized for their success, and also to the collaboration of multi-platinum artists who will take the stage as the night’s entertainment. Performers from 70’s and 80’s rock and pop sensation bands including Deep Purple, Orleans, Loverboy, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band will play the hits of the decades on the House of Blues stage.

This year’s sales awards gala is certainly cause to celebrate for the Holiday Inn Club Vacations team, who’ve continued to enjoy tremendous growth, despite the odds in a down economy.

John Sutherland, Senior Vice President of Sales for Holiday Inn Club Vacations and 20-year industry veteran, says “Right now, the theme for our sales team is ‘off the charts.’ Our annual net sales numbers have continued to increase year over year, and this year we’ll see 13,000 more tours as a result of our new marketing channels. And, we’re still hiring top industry sales consultants in what we expect to be our best year yet.”
