Has anyone been to this resort in the last year? We need 3 bedrooms and I have one on hold, but it does not have any rating and I was wondering if it is due to the condition of the resort being older and not updated.

I have stayed at a 3BR at Cypress Pointe and another one at Grand beach this year. Both places are within 2 miles of each other. There is nothing wrong with Cypress Pointe but the 3 BR is choppy because 1BR actually is a lock out. There was a King bed and 2 twin beds on one side and a king bed in the lockout unit. The place is clean and well maintained and has 3 large pools, putt-putt course, and a general store. Grounds were very manicured. Every restaurant you could want is within a mile. Great location and about a mile from Downtown Disney.
Grand Beach was a true 3 BR unit. 2 master suites on either end and another bedroom with twin beds. It was huge and had 3 bathrooms. Nice bacony and with lake view you see the Disney fireworks each night. The beach is on a lake and the grounds were impeccible and a very nice pool. You must go on a busy highway toward Cypress Pointe to get to all the restaurants, etc.
I would recommend Grand Cypress if you have younger children because there is more to do there than Grand Beach. However, Grand Beach is more relaxing.
