JoAnn ~~ How ya doin after all the fires in your area? The TV was reportin the fire(s) almost all day here in Bonita ~~ Hope y'all are doin alright ~~

Thanks for your concern Trev. We are fine...all of the FOUR fires were north of us, but we had friends who had to evacuate their homes, but some are back in and have electricity now. Know of one man who lost his shed, 5th wheeler, but his house is fine. Haven't driven around the area yet and this morning on the way to church I saw a street still closed and a lot of smoke near by. 2000 acres is a lot to catch on fire and they all seemed to be going at once. I really felt sorry for the firemen and Sheriff's guys trying to keep up with it. Fires were jumping 4 lane streets. Smoke is still heavy is some areas, but we are far enough south that it doesn't bother us much. If anyone wants to read about it go to www.news-press.com it's all over the paper. This is big news here. As far as I know the Lehigh resort is fine.

They have arrested 2 boys (10 & 12) and a 14 yo girl. The 12 yo did not show up for his arraignment this morning, but heard that he was picked up later in the day.
Yes, we were thankful that the fires didn't come this way, but that might not happen again. We live in the country and there is a lot of empty lots around us. Luckily we own a cleared lot to the east of us, and he mows part of the lot to the west of us. And no trees. Our daughter in South Ft, Myers had ashes on her lanai..and that's about 20 miles away. Now they say there were 6 fires going at the same time.
