Just put holds on Kauai resorts (1 BR units):

Makai Club at Princeville (RCI#1254) for 26 Mar - 2 April ... and
Makai Club at Princeville (RCI#1254) for 2 April - 9 April.

    Then also:

The Cliff Club (RCI#5124) for 2 April - 9 April.

Need to know from those of you who have stayed at both places, which place is better... like is one really swell or are they both knock outs?

I realize that by taking The Cliff Club for the second week, we'll be relocating from Makai Club on 2 April.

I'll be researching both of these tonight and making the call before 8 PM tomorrow.

Which way to go? Do we stay put or jump to Cliff Club for that second week? Please email or PM your preference.

Haven't heard good reports about Makai Club in many years. We did stay at The Cliffs several years ago and found that the units were very nicely supplied and seemed well managed. Hopefully you will get more recent reports, but based on what we saw at MC at that time, we would not stay there. It is a pretty neglected property from reports.

We stayed at the Cliffs Club last December and we had a good time. They have a remodeled pool and spacious units. I don't know about the Makai Club except for its poor reputation.

As an aside, I hate moving when we do multi-week trips so I would take the Makai Club just so I wouldn't have to move!

eal, I here you about the moving part...yet, the Cliffs is so close to Makai that the move can be done with a minimum of hassle....when we were staying there, we moved over to Bali Hai, and it was a snap....no food loss, no careful repacking needed....made it very easy.

I'm considering just taking the Cliff Club and if nothing better comes along in the next week, maybe book the Barking Sands Cottages.

It is all chancey with RCI deposits.
