We are going to be in the park October 24-26, 2010. What kind of weather and temperatures can we expect in the park?

I don't think it matters much what time of year you are there. That said, expect much cooler and very windy.

You can also expect rain in that area, at any time of the year.

This side of the island has a lot more rain but it never seems to last long. You see beautiful rainbows and waterfalls along the road. We love the Hilo area and the volcano. I read that the volcano is active at two different places right now.
