Ka'anapali Beach Club, need info about views, which floor, etc.

My head is spinning from reading past posts on the difference between Ocean View and Ocean Front units at this resort and the fights that owners have had with DRI.

Just got my confirmation from Diamond (this is an exchange via DAE) which states I have a Deluxe Ocean View, number of points used 11,500.

Which unit number can I expect/request? I see from a very old map (listed as Embassy Vacation Resorts) that x04 - x12 are called "deluxe ocean view (ocean front)" but in older posts some people said they got stuck with x13 - x16 as Deluxe Ocean View. And even x23 (on the top, 12th, floor) was called a Deluxe Ocean View.

Also I know they only have laundry rooms on some floors and would prefer to request a floor with a laundry room if anyone know which those are.

You are correct that the rooms X13-X16 are considered Deluxe Ocean View, but they are over the air conditioning units and can be noisy when the doors are open. The view is nice in spite of that. The upper floor levels are more away from the A/C fans. The ones on the ocean front are the best. I have never managed to get one of those.
I do not remember which floors had the laundry.

I found out yesterday that there is a Times Supermarket about a quarter of a mile away from the resort. That is great news for us since we are trying to avoid renting a car for the first time ever.
