  • Who has experience Exchanging Pono Kai?

I have a surplus of Pono Kai weeks for 2011. I am looking for real data from people who have done Pono Kai exchanges.
I have exchanged numerous resorts with various exchange co but have never deposited Pono Kai.
I am only interested in info directly related to Pono Kai exchanges.
I am not interested in the usual dialog about pros and cons of various exchange co unless it directly relates to Pono Kai resort experiences.
I do not feel a person should have to wade through unrelated posting and sarcastic comments to field info.

We have a 1 bedroom Pono Kai unit that we deposited into II. I exchanged it for a 2 bedroom Tahiti Village in Las Vegas which is rather easy to exchange into. I still have a unit on deposit and am happy with what I see available for exchange. I search California and Hawaii mostly. The PK unit sees more units available than my Marriott unit. Mostly because of the quality filter, the Marriott doesn't see the lesser quality resorts, most of which are perfectly acceptable to us. Often the PK will see the lesser units and the same units the Marriott unit sees. I think it is a good trader in II.

I know that some Pono Kai timeshare condos belong to Prefered Status Exchange ( PSE ) and you can make free internal exchanges to other PSE resorts. Pono Kai is one of the charter resorts and there are two other resorts too that are affiliate members. I have used them once and it worked great.

Find out if your resort is a charter member because you will be automatically a member too.
