I received an e-mail today from Hawaiian Air today announcing their air fare sale. I bought 2 first class tickets from LAX - HNL for $514 per flight p/p for April. I have been monitoring the price for the last month or so. The first class fare had been running $865 so this is a savings of $351 per flight. The total cost for 2 round trip tickets was $2,140 vs $3,544 prior to today's sale. By comparison American Airlines costs $1,496 per first class flight or over $6,000 for the 2 of us. We are leaving on a Saturday and returning the following Saturday. You also don't pay for checking your bags on first class.
Anybody traveling to Hawaii should check them out. I don't know what the fares are to the other islands.
