It's a shame what's happening in that state, hoping for the best for you and your family.

Mike I missed this since I was away, Hope you are wrong about your work. If you need to I suggest posting in there forum and ask there about canceling. We have a good relation here with TPI they might be understanding if you tell them what happened.

Sorry to hear about your situation. These are terrible times for so very many people.

I'd LOVE to take you up on your offer, but checked airfares and they are very high. I would still be tempted, but I'm waiting until 3/25 to find out if I'm in one of the 7500 jobs to be eliminated in my company. I can't afford to retire, don't want to move and would hate to be out looking for a job in this economy. We were originally told we'd get the word 2/18. Then it was 2/25. The waiting is killing me.

If the offer is still on the table a month from now, I'll be back if I still have a job.

        Thanks for posting.

        Sheila

I found out yesterday I got transfered instead of laid off . Wow is this great news for me and my family. Over 100 of my colleagues were not as fortunate as I am.

Now I can start to plan a vacation for this summer. I am looking for a resort that has cabins instead of condos. I would like to go the GNP but on such a small check-in window (6-18 to 8-13) it will be very difficult to find one. Anyone have any suggestions?

I did find out TPI will allow you to sell weeks you have booked. The Hawaii weeks will be used by Boca as a guest member. Jim I have to call TPI and see if they can print a confirmation without my member number on it.

                    Mike,
For GNP I would try for Clacier Wilderness, but it is probably not very likely for your timeframe.
It is, I think, the closest TS to Glacier Park. It is located about 10 miles from the Western entrance. It is all cabins. We were there a few years ago and really liked it. It is set back about a mile off the main highway on a dirt road. The cabins are log built but fairly nice inside. We had a 2BR which had one bedroom downstairs and a loft upstairs that was 2nd BR. They have hot tubs on the porch. And like I said the location is excellent for going to the park.
take care and glad the job thing worked out the way it did.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

It is good news that Thirsty isn't laid off so can still look forward to a vacation. HI will be there another year.

Happy To Hear About Your Job

                            Hi Mike,

Glad to hear everything is alright with your job and family. We have been thinking about you. It sure is an interesting time to be living in Wisconsin. Maybe we can get together again some day.
