  • Hello from WKORV

I am here this week. Was happy to be given a unit in Bldg 2..was thinking I would wind up in 4 as an II exchanger.

The resort is beautiful..but there are some things I don't like . I am starting to think I prefer smaller resorts. The pool water here is icy cold and the chaises so close together you are touching the person next to you. The adult only pool is OK..but still way to cold to swim. The beach is not level and if you want a beach chair it is $10.00 a day.

Parking is a challenge...underneath parking usually full and hard to find a space in the lot.

The units are large and very quiet, which is wonderful. Patio furniture is 2 uncomfortable low bamboo chairs...no table.Beds are fabulous.

So there are pros and cons for me here. Makes me appreciate my little resort in Aruba- Casa Del Mar. This is along way to come from NJ and I love my pool and beach time and it is just not cutting it here.

Hope you still have a wonderful time. I agree, the westins & marriotts are nice units and finishes but we also prefer the smaller resorts even if the unit is a little older.

      Same feeling here.

Are you doing any sightseeing? I hope so. Don't forget the Haleakala crater so you have that experience too. It's a beautiful drive and easy to do in half a day unless you plan on hiking down the crater. The upcountry is lovely and serene and so quiet in comparison to the crowded beaches.

I have some pictures of the colorful crater under Picture Trail.

      Enjoy your vacation.
