Excellent. Interesting all the options which pop up. Looks like I have a list to work with now. Thanks!

Thank you Lawren for your generous offer regarding Trading Places. If/when I consider rentals, I'll definitely get back to you.

Pat, I should have read your very first post before replying and I would have known that it was for a wedding present and that it was not the NCVs that you were exchanging either.

That is a very nice wedding present and no way can you find a hotel for $399 for a whole week so I hope that you will be successful getting an exchange.

If you end up at the new Fairfield Resort, then your relatives will be only steps away from the beach and where all the action is and they will be very nice accommodations too.

Put in an exchange request yesterday at SFX for the new Waikiki Fairfield, for a 1BR, as soon as their servers came back up. We'll see

FYI, for fun I went to the Fairfield online reservations website and looked to see how many Waikiki rooms were available.

For the week beginning 6/9/07, there were 72 1BR and 2BR available for booking.

For the week beginning 6/16/07, there were 69 1BR and 2BR available for booking.

For both weeks, the 1BR and 2BR were pretty evenly split.

If you know a Fairfield owner, you might be able to work a deal!

Well, as of this post date, still no action from SFX on the request I made for a 1BR at the Fairfield BeachWalk. I'll begin to bother them frequently after Thanksgiving I'm assuming, as this property is just opening and is in new sales, they'd be eager to get folks in the door, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

At what point (honeymoon starts March 18, 2007) should I abandon SFX and start looking at other options? 60 days? Short of doing a Marriott trade into KoOlina (which is pretty far from where they wish to be), I don't particularly want to down-trade our Marriotts; maybe a rent-swap might work.....

              Call SFX

Pat, Last summer I booked a bonus week in Hawaii for July for my son. I called SFX in late May and asked if there was anything in July available. Liza told me what she had listed & I got the exact dates I needed at a resort on the BI. Maybe if you call & ask what they have for the date you need, there might be something your neice would like!

It worked for me, I got right through on the phone which doesn't always happen!

As of this AM I only see a studio unit at Imperial (HTSE) for Mar 18. Nothing at II or DAE.
