  • Which Hawaii resorts bulk spacebank with RCI?

I know that Paniolo Greens has bulkspacbanked a number of weeks in 2008. Are there any other resorts in Hawaii that do as well? If so, when do they do that? I know some Mexico ones do.

The Pahio's bank units approx. monthly for 12 months later. I did a search on 'bulk' in the RCI exchange opps board and found Bay Club at Waikoloa, Kona Hawaiian Village, Kahana Falls and Embassy on Kauai and Maui. I took a unit for March, 2007 at Mauna Loa during a bulk bank in August, 2005.

Thanks. Now that you mention it, I went back and remember some of the bulk bankings. However, it's funny because I wasn't able to see them when they were first listed (maybe I don't remember) with my fall socal week but I can see the Paniolo Greens bulk with this same fall week. Maybe I should just be thankful and grab something now before it disappears and the exchange fees go up in Sep.

Think there will be any other bulk Hawaii bankings between now and end of Aug before the RCI fees go up?

I think the Pahios will still be doing it every month. Keep your eye on the exchange opps board or ask Lawren and Ken to keep an eye out for you.

If your week is Red you can get an exchange to Hawaii every year using HTSE.

Kahana Falls in Maui Bulk banks....not sure when but we snagged one-bedrooms for two consecutive '07 summer weeks.

Kona Coast II on the Big Island also is known to bulk bank and we have taken advantage of that one.

If you are a member of TUG also, there is a database there of past spacebank times for various resorts. You need to be a member to access this but the URL is:

We will have one here too eventually. Still a lot of programming to do before we get there. You can also Search for "bulk" in the exchange opportunities forums.

I have seen quite a bit of variance from past bulk spacebank data the last couple of years but it is a good tool to remind us to look for what and when they have happened in the past.

If RCI handles this increase as they have others in the past you should be OK with the old rate as long as you have an on-going search in before the increase takes effect.

When are you looking to go?

You can post in the "Be on the look out" sticky in the RCI Exchange Op forum.

We don't really have a particular date in mind. Something in early (Jan/Feb) 2008. We haven't really decided. If we find something really good with our Thanksgiving socal banked week we'll try and make it work.

I check the exchanges pretty much every day just to see what's out there. We're not timesharing fanaticals enough yet (even though we have 10+) to have everything planned down to a tee yet.

Yes there is a lot of info, but just use it as a guide, like Lawren said there seems to be a lot of changes in when the resorts put in spacebanks. The Fairfield at Kona Hawaiian Resort spacebanks every year but it seems that when they did so earlier this year it took a bit more of a trader to get many of them (don't know why).
Also keep watching our Exchange Opportunities as most of the spacebanks get posted there (we usually try to list them as spacebanks )although I many times forget to add that when I do a listing, I will try to remember)

Keeping my fingers crossed that a couple of the Big Island timeshares will still be doing some bulk banking for next summer. We just grabbed a week at Kona Coast and I'd sure like to find another week (in the Waikoloa area) to match up with it. But if Paniolo Greens is already banking for 2008 I may have missed my window of opportunity.
