Whale watching season in Hawaii

I was on the Big Island 3 years ago in late October and one of the locals told us the first humpback had been spotted offshore by fishing boat.
We have booked this year for the last 2+ weeks of November, 9 days in Maui and 7 days in Kauai. I was hoping to arrange a whale sightseeing trip but in reading some pages on the internet it appears that although the official whale season begins in November, quite often it's December onwards before they are around.

My question is, has anyone here seen whales in November and also are there whale sightseeing tours in November (from Maui and Kauai) or do they start at a later date.
This is a bucket list wish ha-ha

I was on Maui the first week of Dec 2011. We saw several whales at that time. I know the boats had been going out for a while, certainly into November, but I can't tell you how long.

It was an amazing experience for me. I hope the whales are there for you in November.

We arrived on Kauai on December 6, and were told we were too early.

At Sunrise on Tuesday the second week, from our lanai at the Embassy at Poipu (at that time), while I was sipping Kona coffee, I saw the first one of the season breach in Poipu Bay.

The only item of discontent at that resort at that time was my announcing it.

Oh yeah, as I always add, at noon of our check-in day, our Tour Guide Georgio said we could never trade into there . . . you had to own to stay there. Then, we got the best unit, oceanfront, oceanview end unit.

I talked to an owner who just recently was able to unload by buying elsewhere, and they said it really has fallen into disrepair.

Here is an interesting log where you can see whale sightings as early as October even. This is for Maui but it should be the same for other islands too.

Did you know that Kauai’s whale watching season is coming up. Late November through early May is the peak season for whale watching around here, since thousands of whales come by the island every year to enjoy our tropical climate and warm waters.

Maui has the most whale sighting since they like the ocean waters between Maui and Lanai/Molokai. Pacific Whale Foundation has a very informative and reasonably cost trip. Ask them when they start going out and chances to see whales in November.

Since you run Whale sightseeing cruises and I being the original poster for this thread, can you answer my original question? I will be arriving on the 10th of November and departing on the 26th November.

Whale watching is not an easy task to do. Sometimes whales become violent and can harm people so people use many type of precautions to watch whales. They use cruise which are made of a very strong material. If anyone want to buy a good cruise to watch whales trhen our company is one of the best cruise providers.

Unless you are going to India to watch whales, you don't want to do business with that poster. Always be wary when someone's first post is an ad or has a link. They are phishing but not for whales.

We had great whale watching trips with Captain Steve and with Pacific Whale Foundation. The last one with Pacific Whale was amazing but we always go in February.
