  • Inter- Island flights

I just booked my FF seats for Hawaii. I am leaving 6/23/07. We will fly into Oahu, then fly to Maui, then on to Hawaii, and then back to Oahu. I saw a one way ticket on Hawaiian Air for $39.00. Is this typical of their fares, or is this a good deal that I should grab now? Also, isn't there now ferry service between the islands?

      Boca,
What is the typical fare for an interisland transfer? I'm thinking that using 10,000 miles is probably not cost-effective for our trip next summer and may just purchase an inter-island ticket.

That is a great price you will not get it any cheaper. Be for warned when flying out of Maui on an inter Island flight get there 3 hours before. You will miss your flight if you don't. It is a zoo there with lines that wrap around the airport. If you book the first flight out and get there early you won't have any problems. If you book a later flight you will find out the hard way.

YOU should be OK with mainland flights. There main problem is inter island unless they fixed it but last I heard about a year ago they are still screwed up.

$79 isn't a bad price. The best fares are the last or first in the day. $39 is extremely low.

Our flight arrives Oahu at 1:15. I think the last fllight to Maui is 4:00. I gues I should grab that one? Hopefully the connection is not oo close. Any opinions on that?

Flying out of the other islands is not bad just be sure to get a real early flight out of Maui as you can stay on line with others for 6 hours waiting. They overbook and everyone gets put on the next flight.

I just booked $39 fares from HNL to KOA and LIH to HNL in prime summer. The pesky KOA-LIH leg looks like it is going to cost us at least $73, though...

                        Question:

If I'm flying into/out of HNL on Delta, got interisland flights on Aloha and Hawaiian Air.... will I have to go through another security check at HNL? I hope not...

Nope, you won't have to go through security again. You just have to wait in one of the terminals.

I just booked roundtrip for my son's Spring Break to Kauai on March 17-24. I got $29 flights. $69.80 after taxes per person roundtrip. $139.60 for my son and me.

I got an SUV from Alamo for $176.46 for the week including all taxes. I think I get $25 off for a coupon they gave me. Thanks to Cindy, I got this off the Costco site.

My week in a 1 bedroom unit at the Cliff's Club was on an A/C which cost: $258.96

Total cost for air, accommodations and car for a week in Kauai: $575.02 including all taxes.

A person could timeshare hop for the entire year for about $2500 per month.

                            Ain't timesharing great?
