Not bad at all.
Not bad at all.....I am trying to find 50 friends who want to buy a week from me for only $35,000 for each week and maintenance fees will only be $1200 a week for this prime property. Holiday weeks will be an extra $5 to 10K per week. The weeks will be fixed weeks and all will be available except weeks 51 and 52 which I will maintain as a bonus for multiple week purchasers who will be able to use it on a rotating basis for only the maintenance fees plus an $800 per week administration charge. Closing cost will only be $1,500 per week with a discount for multiple week purchases.
The above prices are cheap for this prime property being developed by the one and only Trump and beat the many other developer pricing plans. If you would like to tour the property and buy a week you will be awarded TS4M points to use on this site but you will need to make a decision before your tour is over....no purchase means no points.
I will also run the internal exchange program for an annual fee of $84 and an exchange fee of only $134 per exchange.
Please let me know if you are interested."If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed."
-- Thomas Jefferson to Col. Yancey, 1816

It's funny you mentioned this Trump site. I was driving around Waikiki last night looking for the Fairfield resort. I couldn't find it. But, I did find the Trump sign and the sign for a new Embassy Suites hotel.
The Trump building will be good if they build it really high so it can have ocean views. The lower level units won't be that great.

The buidling will be pretty tall with the upper floors having a great view, especially those on the side by Fort DeRussy.

I also looked into Trump Waikiki. The studio range is from $450K - $700K. 1 Bedroom $770K , 1 bedroom plus den is over 1 million...
For comparison: Honua Kai studio is $600K-$800K. I can't see how you can break even on this. If you put your money in CD at 5% - for $450K -> $22,500.
They are looking for 20%down now... 90K for $450K. I guess you have to figure out whether the real estate will go up. I doubt it will cover expense with the operating cost.

We stopped by the sales office yesterday...first day to put down reservation $ and it was crowded. You could feel the "buzz" of excitement. I guess that's the Trump Effect! They opened an office in Tokyo also...they are really expecting huge Japanese interest.
On a side note I was in Waikiki today for a conference and got a good look at the whole Waikiki Beach Walk redevelopment. The Fairfield Waikiki resort is on the left side of Lewers street. From the parking lot of the Sheraton I could see the back of the Fairfield and they were working on the pool area. The Fairfield is in front of the Imperial. The retail area of the Beachwalk looks like it will be very nice and the "hip" new area to be in Waikiki.
Aloha,
Jen
