  • Best Timeshare Resorts in Hawai'i

ok, I did some research (basically, went on RCI and II to see the 5*/gold crown resorts that each has listed, then perused the resort websites and places such as tripadvisor to get an idea of what to expect from each). In case you didn't already know, this is for my honeymoon So, to the extent that a resort with multiple amenities is available, I prefer that one (amenities that I will require is air conditioning, nice pool, near the beach/shore (does not have to be swimmable), and onsite or nearby restaurants; other amenities that would be nice are room service, maid service, onsite spa with a gym, etc.).

This is what I found - let me know if you have stayed at any of these and what you think! or if you think I am missing something that has what I am looking for.... going to stay for 2 weeks, different islands.. Oh, its important to note that I can only do a Sunday/Monday check-in because my wedding is on a Saturday (so, no Hilton Hawaiin Village maybe another year!)..

    Kauai
    Marriott's Kauai Beach Club
    Embassy Vacation Resort Poipu Point

    Oahu
    Fairfield Waikiki

    Maui
    Marriott's Maui Ocean Club
    Whaler on Ka'anapali Beach
    Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort

    Big Island
    Fairfield Kona Hawaiian Resort

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't try the Fairfield Waikiki for a honeymoon. It's in a very busy area of Waikiki. If you were looking for a timeshare resort, I would recommend the Marriott Ko'Olina instead. But that is only if you want to stay on Oahu.

For a honeymoon, I would recommend Kauai first, then Maui, then the Big Isalnd. And, I wouldn't limit yourself to timeshares. There are some awesome hotels in the Hawaiian Islands that are perfect Honeymoon destinations.

Given your criteria, I would add the former Embassy, now the Ka'anapali Beach Vacation Resort, on Maui. I think it is a better bet than the Marriott given construction at the Marriott and uncertainty about unit location.

The Fairfield Kona Hawaiian Resort is lovely, but you would have to drive (or take a very long walk) to a restaurant, and it is not on or particularly close to a walkable shore. It is across the road from the shoreline, but there are buildings on the other side of the road. I am hoping to go back, and love it there, but thought I should mention it.

It looks as if you prefer a resort with a lot of on-site amenitieis (spa, room service, maid service, on-site restaurant). In that cae, take the (formerly Embassy) Po`iipu Point Vacation resort on Kaua`i off your list.

We dearly love the Po`ipu Point property, but one of the reasons we enjoy it is because it doesn't have those things - i.e., because it's not a "resort".

On Kaua`i, the resorts that meet your criteria would probably be the thw Marriott propoerties and maybe Hanalei Bay Resort. In fact, Hanalei Bay resort would be an absolutely wonderful place for a honeymoon.

The formerly Embassy Ka`anapali on Maui is also a good choice. Hilton Hawai`ian Village on Oahu would probably also be good.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

          “You shouldn't wear that body.”

Be sure to check and verify that the resort you pick, has Air Conditioning. Some of the resort in Hawaii, do not.

If you need accomodations on Maui and can't coordinate the off-check-in dates you can find a lot of units for rent at the Whaler in Kaanapaili on VRBO.com. We needed an extra unit last time we were there because we had too many guests. I was surprised how many were available - great for a day or two at the beginning or end of a week elsewhere.
