The electrical problems are all fixed. This unit is great, otherwise. Really love the broadband internet with my vonage. I don't have to share my internet connection with my kids.
I've visited several timeshares to date. Pahio Ka'Eo Kai, Shearwater and Bali Hai Villas, Alii Kai (not sure if it was 1 or 2), The Cliffs, The Marriott Waiohai, The Sunterra Point at Poipu and the Lawai Beach Resort.
My favorite of those resorts is the Marriott Waiaohai. I'm definitely going to get a unit there sometime soon.
The Sunterra is also extremely nice. About a half step down from the Marriott, but wonderful and HUGE.
The best two resorts I saw in Princeville were the Pahio Shearwater for its views and the Cliffs Resort for a great overall resort feel.
I love this Pono Kai resort because it is so close to the Ocean and has such great views. It is in a very good location, but the traffic is extraordinarily bad.
Princeville and Poipu are rather upscale areas and are nice if you prefer luxury.
This island has been taken over by chickens. Last time I was here was before Hurricane Iniki where I weathered the storm out in Oahu. I guess the chickens got loose from the hurricane and took over the island. Roosters are cockadoodle dooing all day long.
I got a chance to get a Lampert's Ice Cream. Haven't had one in over a decade, but it was worth the trip. I recall the Macadamia Nut ice cream being unbelievable. I remembered correctly.
Had a Puka Dog for the first time ever. It was awesome. Really creative how they make the bread and poke a hole in it to put all the stuff. That prevents you from getting stuff all over your hands.
When you buy food at the grocery store, make sure you sign up for a Safeway card. Our first shopping trip totaled $129.99 with $48.33 savings vs. non-card holders. That was unbelievable how the bilk tourists.
Great trip. Can't wait to come back.
