What great pictures of that whale so close up. Whale watching alone is reason enough to go to Hawaii for. You must be so thrilled to have seen this and was able to make these pictures too. Thank you so much for sharing.

This is the best Whale Watch I have been on. The Whales went under the boat several times. You may be able to see the Whale going under the boat from this picture.

You had a pod of whales coming to your boat. Most likely the female tried to hide from the males and used the boat as shelter. We have experienced this only once many years ago. It is very seldom that the whales come to you instead of the boat chasing the whales and they have to stay away a certain distance from the whales or get a big fine and their license removed.

Our photos were on a film and were not half as nice as yours but we will never forget the experience. Our boat was smaller than the whale that went underneath our boat! Our pod were six whales in total. Was that the same with you too?

I doubt if you will ever experience this again. For us, it was only that one time and we go practically every year and do at least one or two whale watching tours. We saw them pretty close-up in Alaska too when they were bubble feeding. They are incredible. We could hear their sound without a hydrophone so close they were.
