  • Molokai: Ke Nani Kai; anyone been there?

How was it? The Resort and the Island, itself?

I confirmed the sighting that Angela made and it looks like a really nice quiet resort area.

Do they have internet access or cell phone coverage on the island? What is the best way to get there? via Maui or direct from Honolulu?

Luanne did a review for it.

Jim, if you have any other questions, let me know. I found information Denise M on TUG had put together to be very helpful before our trip. Here is the link: Denise's Travel Pages - Travel reports, tips, and reviews.

The only part of her review that I disagreed with was her review of the grocery stores in the main town. We found one that was very clean and well stocked. But in everything else, she was right on. The Hotel Molokai on Friday nights is not to be missed. One of my dds' favorite nights on vacation.

We flew from Kona (through Honolulu) to Molokai. Denise when from Maui by boat.

This is my first visit to Denise's travel log. It is quite good. I like how she takes a diary approach to her trips and includes pictures. Very nice.

I am definitely excited about this trip. I think it will be fun.

Still have to convice my wife that it's what she wants to do. I think she will want to go. She just opted out of a trip back to Kauai this month. I'm going anyway.

Boca, we loved Molokai but stayed in a private condo overlooking the ocean. I wanted to go and see the Ke Nani Kai timeshare condos but there was so much else to do and we didn't stay a whole week. Here are some photos. We want to go back again.

We also enjoyed our Friday night dinner at the Hotel Molokai. That seemed to be the only entertainment there when we were here. We only had lunch at the ranch so don't know what they had in the evenings.
