I just booked Thanksgiving 2008 at RAVC Keauhou-Kona, but can still cancel. Does anyone have any info about the resort? I know it doesn't have A/C, not sure if that is a problem in November. Is it rundown? Is the pool nice? TIA.

We stayed there twice. First time was a rental into a 3-bedroom townhouse, 2nd time was through a timeshare trade. There are several pluses, and also several minuses. The pluses are that the units (as I recall) were good size with a nice lanai. Although they're not ocean front we did have a nice view towards the water. The minuses, no a/c (and we were there in the summer where it was a huge detriment), the unit we had was closest to Alii Dr and we got a lot of noise. Units were in definite need of refurbishing. I got the impression that they were going to be doing something as I spilled nail polish on the carpet and was told not to worry since it would soon be replaced. We didn't use the pool area at all. As I remember it was very no-frills.
All said, I don't think I would stay there again, especially during the summer.Luanne
