I just want to thank everyone again for all their good advice. Thank you Dale7 for the heads up on informing the place early on about our late arrival.
I already spoke with Marcie and told her that we will be taking that Maui Hill week. Now the hard part is deciding which island to stay for that Friday night, BI or Maui.
    Thanks again everyone,
    Mutual

If you decide on Maui, think about an overnite in Hana. We gave up a timeshare night to do that - it's well worth the trip, and the road to Hana best done leisurely so you can stop and really enjoy all the gorgeous places on the way. We found a rental cottage in Hana which allowed 1-nite rentals, which was next door to a nice-looking condo complex, and also would have been a good choice.

We have done this as well and although it's a pain checking in and out once you get to the timeshare you appreciate the extra room even more after staying in a cramped hotel room.

What we've done a couple of times is to spend the one night in a hotel in a really nice one, like the Hilton Waikoloa. However, one night at someplace like that was almost more expensive than a whole week in the timeshare. Not so much because of the cost of the room, but eating all those meals out.

My suggestion for your itinerary (which I think I already stated, ) is to:
          - spend your time on Maui
          - check out early
          - fly to Hilo
          - spend one night in Volcano Village so you can spend time at Volcano National Park
          - drive to Kona and your timeshare the next afternoon

And most of all........enjoy your stay!
