Thanks to a tip from a Tugger, I was able to book a roundtrip SuperFerry trip for Dec 16-23 to Maui from Oahu. It was $29 to Maui. $39 back from Maui. $55 each way for the car, plus taxes.
Total cost: $199.05. Really got lucky. I hope the locals don't stop it again from sailing.
