I just arrived at Ke Nani Kai on Molokai. This is a really cool place because there really aren't that many people here. I flew over from Oahu on a Cessna 8 seater. I love those little planes because they are so easy to board and get your luggage on and off of it.
I had a google map with me when I got here, but those were useless since there aren't many signs anywhere. I called ahead and Lisa, the manager, told me to go to the grocery store first. It was pricey, as I spent $100 just for me. My family will be coming later in the week so they don't miss much school.
The unit is clean and comfortable. Not luxurious, but fine for me. If we were on the second floor, we would have an ocean view. The grounds are very well manicured and clean. What I love about this place is it is very quiet. Reminds me of when I lived in the country in New Jersey.
There is wireless in this unit. But, the signal is very weak. So, my wireless router isn't getting a strong enough signal to keep a phone call up with vonage. I'll have to use a calling card this week. I would use Skype, but my PC headset is broken.
This is what I've always wanted to do. Go to the remotest places on earth and still stay connected via the internet. It makes the world a much smaller place.
