    Now at Kona Hawaiian Village

We spent the last two days at the Volcano national park and seeming some very cool stuff. Having never made it down to that area before, I would recommend it!

From there, we drove into Kona this evening and are staying at the Kona Hawaiian Village. I'll do a full review but the initial reaction when we checked into our unit was "wow". It's a very nice sized 2BR / 2BA unit, unit 2A. The kitchen is full sized with all the things you need. The lanai is nice and large and I'm sure we'll spend a bunch of time there. The bedrooms are large, with a king bed in the master and a queen bed in the 2nd. In the master, the tub with the air yets got a definite "ooohh" from DW. We'll report on that as well.

We were fortunate to run into a pod of 6 whales, 5 males and one female. As you know, it is mating season so the 5 males were fighting with each other to have the pleasure of mating! She was being a flirt and leading on the boys. There were three full breaches and numerous tail slaps and butting of each other. One even had blood on him. Just like a female to lead on 5 guys

All in all, it was an excellent day!
Yay! You saw whales. I think I advised you that you would over in WM chat-but I was nervous about my prediction since their best showing is usually in Feb. I am SO glad you had that experience. I hope you have pics-would love to see them.
