My son and his girlfriend want to stay at the W K in Maui the week
of 11/01/08. My week not strong enough to pull a week there, so an exchange for me is out of the question. Any suggestions on best way to rent a 1 br there for a week???? I cant find any rentals for that week here, on RW or OY. Any help greatly appreciated.

Theres just the 2 of them and they only need a 1 br....

Paul, the redweek ad is for the 11/1 week and is a 1 bedroom

and she is asking $2800,
she also says she has the studio available. Might want to email her.

It IS a 1BR for $2800. You can always make an offer for what you want to pay. Worst case they say no.

You know, those price gougers have absolutely no shame.
I always laugh when I see the rentals for, let's say, the Harborside Atlantis ,on OY or Redweek. Nerve ! They rarely reduce even as the week approaches.
There's nothing wrong with making a profit, it's the gouging that sends me into gales of laughter.

I think it depends on the unit size and time of year. I'm not saying that they're not valuable as they should get a good rent because they are very nice and there are loads of things to see and do, it's just some listings are astronomical and can be rented from the resort directly for less at times. Also, there are package deals which include "The Cove" which is considered a more desirable hotel part of the complex for less than the Harborside part.
