    United Airlines Offers Support to ATA Airlines Customers
    United Airlines is prepared to assist customers who are affected by the Chapter 11 filing of ATA Airlines. United will honor ATA tickets issued prior to April 3, 2008 with United operated segments. For customers traveling on ATA tickets for ATA flights , we are offering a discounted one-way fare through the end of April.

    The following questions and answers provides additional information:



    How do I know which airline has issued my ticket?
    All airline tickets have a ticket number. The first three digits of the ticket number will identify who has issued the ticket.

    Tickets beginning with 016 are issued by United Airlines.
    Tickets beginning with 366 are issued by ATA Airlines.


    How will United rebook customers originally scheduled to fly on ATA?
    For customers ticketed by United Airlines for a flight on ATA, we will make our best effort to rebook you on a United flight to your destination. A ll accommodations will be dependent on the availability of seats. If no acceptable arrangements can be made, we will refund your ticket, according to the rules of the original fare that you paid.

    How do I know if my ATA flight is cancelled or will operate?
    On April 3, 2008 ATA Airlines discontinued all operations. Visit ATA Airlines for more information.

    Will customers ticketed by ATA for United-operated flights be rebooked?
    These customers are not affected, as they are already confirmed on United-operated flights. We will continue to accept all ATA-issued tickets for flights operated by United Airlines. Customers should check in as normal.

    I have already begun my journey on an ATA ticket and I have a return ticket on an ATA flight that has been cancelled. What should I do?
    United is offering a special fare for customers holding an ATA ticket for travel between April 3, 2008 and April 30, 2008. This fare is available only for one-way travel to destinations previously served by ATA Airlines. You must be able to provide proof of purchase of an ATA ticket to qualify.
