        Westing

My top choice would be Westin Kaanapali. Studio is fine but even with just you and the wife will be a little tight so I'd get the 1 bedroom.

Second would be Marriott but the new tower. The older one is an updated
        hotel so not as nice.

          Hi Sandra,

We plan to winter in Australia/South Pacific/Hawaii for the 2009/2010 season.

We will probably begin the season with either the Princess cruise 23 Oct 2009 SFO-Sydney or the Princess cruise Round Australia 17 Oct 2009. My husband prefers to be near the Equator in winter season or no further than 20 degrees latitude.

We banked 4 Velas Vallarta weeks, a Inn @ Mazatlan and a Jockey Club with Platinum Interchange about October 2007. We have only found one week in available inventory (Nice, France) for our summer Europe 2008 plans. Then we took another week we think we might be able to rent. That leaves four deposited weeks that expire about October 2009. We won't return from Europe until July 2009.

Do you have suggestions on how to use our 4 deposits for 2009/2010. I understand I can extend the unused weeks for a price but it would be nice to know if you have availability.

            Australia

            Hello!

Platinum Interchange has availability in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia; I will need exact dates of the week you are looking for, so I can give you more details.
We might also be able to get New Zealand and Tahiti.
I will need your account number to see what you have available on deposit and I will go over the expiration dates with you.

            Please call me for assistance.

            Thanks!!!!

The Marriott Waiohai in Kauai would be very nice. All units are 2 BR units and it has a nice beach in front of the resort. You will like the Ko'olina too but it isn't close to the famous Waikiki Beach where the action is and many nice hotels. Honolulu is a big city and has a very crowded beach. The Island has beautiful areas still that are not that crowded.

Our home resort is at the Marriott MOC in Maui and we like it very much. Ka'anapali beach is a beautiful beach but there are many other nice resorts there besides the Marriott. All islands are beautiful but each one is so different. Here is a link of the most beautiful beaches on every island. Just remember that Island hopping takes a lot of time so it is better to stay a whole week on one island and come back again to visit another one. You will need two weeks minimum to do island hopping. JMHO.

Westin Ka'anapali is our favorite due to the location and great beaches.

                  II/Marriott Trade Restriction question

                  Hi Pat,

We own at Marriott Breckenridge so I have to call the II/Marriott desk. I am unfamiliar with the 24 day Marriott to Marriott trade restriction other than II always tells me I will have better chances trading my Marriott for Marriott Hawaii.

What exactly does the 24 day Marriott trade restriction mean? Does it mean that the units are available ONLY to other Marriott trades for the first 24 days after depositing?

                  Thanks
