We are currently in Kauai. The news last night said that two of Air Kauai's helicopters were repossessed by the bank. The helicopter operator at the Princeville airport is already out of business.

The owner of the Ala Moana Center is in financial trouble according to today's newspaper.

One bright spot, the newspaper said the Disney resort in Ko'Olina was starting construction on November 19th.

The newspaper also said that Southwest Airlines was looking at partnering with Hawaiian Air.

As others travel to Hawaii it would be nice if more information could be added. We are thinking about exchanging to Hawaii for 2010.
