      Kenny,

I don't know the restaurants on the Big Island. I'll be there in March. I'll look for some good spots to go.

Places to eat on the Big Island

The Original Location of The Kona Brewing Company has great pizza and beer.
Kona Brewing Company A little hard to find in town but worth it.

The Aloha Theatre cafe has very good breakfast and lunch though it is 20 minutes outside of town on the main highway.

This is a very nice restaurant in the same shopping mall as the Safeway.
O's Bistro has gourmet food, a nice wine list and reasonably priced.
O's Bistro Restaurant, Kailua Kona Hawaii I highly recommend this one.

The Hard Rock Cafe is right on the main strip and I've found the food there to be good. The rack of lamb at the Outback was good, too.

The Hilton Waikoloa is about 35 minutes from Kona past the airport.
        Donatoni's is good Italian food.
The train going throughout the property in the Hilton is fun.

Pescatore's in Hilo was very nice when we ate lunch there.

You need to update. Hard Rock is now closed.

Bummer! Last time I was there I forgot to pick up a t-shirt. I was looking forward to getting one when we go in May. I usually get a Hard Rock t-shirt wherever we go.

There have been several restaurant closures on the Big Island. I can't remember off hand which other ones. A good reference is KONAWEB - Online Resource for the Big Island & Kona, Hawaii.

Is the restaurant on the second floor? If so, I think we have been there and it indeed serves very good dim sum and seafood dishes.

Haven't tried that one yet. Will tell hubby to give it a try when he visits in March with his Mom and sister.

Snorkeling is one of the things that made my heart race in Hawaii, especially in Maui and Oahu.
