Wind Turbines On Maui!

The Wind Turbines are now on Maui. They are located high on the southern slope of Mauna Kahalawai.

The Maui Magazine came today with a picture of the Wind Turbines on Maui. I forgot to write about them when I came back from Maui. They really stand out on your way to West Maui.

I read that nearly 20 percent of the island's power will come from the wind turbines once the project is complete.

We were wondering why there weren't more of them, we didn't realize it was a new project. They were sure spinning around last week when we were there.

I'm at a loss as to why almost all islands don't do that. It would seem that any place with trade winds could have nearly free energy after a modest investment.
