We were there the first week of June. Nice resort, nice pools, across the street from the ocean. They have a nice workout room. Free wireless in the roof top lounge. Tennis and mini golf. If you like to walk you can get to the nearby shopping center. There are three restaurants there. We also walked to the Sheraton for dinner and drinks. There is a new shopping center being built less than a mile away that is supposed to be opening this month.
The only drawback for us was the lack of air conditioning. We were in the Lika Lani building, which is a 4 unit building at the far end of the resort. There were no tradewinds blowing and we were baking for a couple of nights. I think if you get into a mid to upper floor room in the Alii or Banyan building, that would provide you with the best chance for ocean breezes. Of course, owners get first choice so you never know what you'll get.

We stayed there in a ground floor 2 bedroom. It was a nice resort. The units are plenty roomy and well equiped. We liked our location in the first building but a lot of folks prefer higher floors so they have ocean views. We went in February so air conditioning wasn't an issue. We rarely use it when in Hawaii. We had a short stroll to the pool and a view of the sunset. The resort is not in the thick of things at Poipu Beach but not too far away. Although we aren't crazy about that part of the island, we'd stay there again if we ever want to stay in that area. The legitimate object of Government is to do for a community of people whatever they need to have done but cannot do at all or cannot do so well for themselves”- Lincoln
