DC TS near metro stops

Does anyone know of any TS that trade with II that are located within walking distance to a metro stop? We are planning a future trip by train. Would transfer onto the Metro line at Grand Central Station. Thanks for your help!

There are only two timeshares anywhere near DC that I know of--the Wyndham in Alexandria, VA, and the Wyndham National Harbor, which is brand new. I don't think it's open yet. The Wyndham in Alexandria is a near-impossible trade, and I suspect the National Harbor one will be, too. Wyndhams trade through RCI, just to make it a little more challenging for you....

The train station in Washington is Union Station. Grand Central Station is in NYC, and there are lots of Penn Stations, including one in NYC...but the big station in DC is Union Station.

We stayed at a Hyatt Regency right near Union Station a few years back--got it on Priceline for a great price, about $70 per night. HTH!

We stayed at the Wyndham in Alexandria, VA, and it was an easy walk to the Metro, did it several times the week we stayed there with two of grandchildren.

Your best bet will be a direct exchange or rental from a Wyndham owner. Alexandria is much more convenient, transportation-wise, than National Harbor.

I have Wyndham Old Town Alexandria available for mid July or after. Also have a private condo even closer to the METRO than OTA. People who book Wyndham National Harbor will like the resort and the Gaylord conference center/shopping but it is not DC, and you have to take transportation, shuttle or water taxi to get to mass transit. It was a very nice Hyatt, about two or three blocks from the station, and we rented a car one-way from Hertz and returned it to Union Station so that we wouldn't have to pay parking fees at the hotel.

Uh! I hate that Hyatt. I never use priceline for the Capitol Hill region because I fear I would get that hotel. The hotel itself is a nice business class hotel, but it is next to a nasty homeless shelter. I know 5 people who have been mugged (one stabbed) within a few blocks of there. Plus, the overall harassment you get from schizophrenic homeless people is not pleasant.

Lots of good Metro and regional transport into D.C. and easy to use.

When I stayed in Rockville (not a T/S), it was a snap to take the light rail transit into D.C. to see all the great sites.

Good thang I don't live anywhere near there, but certainly my alarm should have sensed something as you passed within a mile of my place and especially when within 100ft of my condos. (Oh yeah, the cherry ones are the best!)
