Ok first things first. Thanks to all who responded to my first post. I can tell I can ask anything on TS from this group and they will try to help. Also I apologize for the length of this post; I wanted to lay it all out to give a good background.
Ok here is the question we are struggling with at this point. As some of you know I am also active on the TUG boards, pulling info. from all over. Since we are looking for our first TS, we are torn between buying something for a good trader or buying something because we think we will enjoy going there and it's within a reasonable (5 hours or less) driving distance, has plenty to do and will entertain wife, 2kids 10,11 and myself.
On the one hand we are looking at Shenandoah Crossings or Massanutten as both are within that distance from our home in PA. Both seem like they would have plenty to do, both for the most part have gotten excellent reviews (a few bad reviews on RCI but thats to be expected as they're not going to please all) and both look very nice. I have requests in at diff. auction sites, resale sites, etc. to try and find something in our price range in a decent season ($2-3,000 max, spring or summer).
Now on the other hand, a friend of ours owns 2 TS in Williamsburg,VA. He swares by the area, says they have NEVER had a problem trading and there is a ton of things to do there. Plus it is w/in the max. driving distance we set for ourselves. I have looked at Fairfield Williamsburg at Kingsgate and Powhatten and both seem decent. However on TUG and other forums it seems like they have a bad rep. for good traders. I know alot of people suggested Foxrun as a good trader but they are 10+ hours from us. We may not always want or be able to go that far.
We eventually would like to go to Disney again and want to make sure whatever we buy will trade into there in February, March or April. However we won't always have the $ to go to Disney, but want to have the ability to take a vacation every year.
Sorry for the novel I've written here but would like to know everyone's opinion, suggestions, advice. Wife and I are open to any and all, so let them fly please!
