  • Ski Side Village...

So i'm still trying to figure out my sometime between June 22 - July 31st Summer trip....and noticed Ski Side Village on RCI, this is a Very close drive and Right around the corner from CamelBeach...I think i could make it a very cheap trip...which is a huge plus...

But the only reviews i can find are pretty negative...I've read they they may have just finished renovations....So maybe all the reviews are from before the renovations?

Anyone stay here recently? I don't mind staying in a sub-par place, but a total dump i won't even consider..

I have been here 2 times, Both times snow time. Once was some 15 years back and once was about 3 years ago for my son. The units had a great view of the slopes lite up at night which is sometime you are not going to see. I love Barley Creek there beer is made there. Crossing out lets is right there as well. Camel beach is also there but you will still need to take your car. If you have not been there is the summer go for it but I do not think they have a Pool at the resort

I've been to the pocono's in the past both winter and summer, and (tried to) snowboard at Camelback Mountain, but mostly at a friends trailer(breezewood acres) drinking too much and starting bonfires that risked the whole state...i've never really looked around the place beyond going to camelback, the outlets and the shooting range(sunset hill)

I've booked it, worst case scenario, i never go back...

Now to see if i can get the time off work!

Just keep in mind that the resort has no amenites which you won't need but I think you might be able to use the pool at the hotell right across

My SIL still owns there but hasn't visited in years. She lets her kids use her two units. The developer or owner really shafted this resort. He took the money that was supposed to go to pay their real estate taxes and spent it on other stuff. Then he declared bankruptcy and left the owners holding the bag for the tax bill. They had to sell off a few buildings and consolidate into a smaller number of units to stave off the tax man. Fixed week ownerships had to convert to floats or give up their units. I have been there twice but not since Atlanta was in the Super Bowl so that was 12 years ago. At that time, the units were roomy and average as far as the age of furniture and general state of the unit. In the units I stayed in there were huge hot tubs. I mean huge.
