I noticed that a couple of Guests were looking at some old threads about timeshares in the Washington, DC area, so I know there is some interest, albeit quiet, on that topic. Actually, being the area of history and importance that it is, Washington, DC timeshare(s) has/have been a topic of occasional interest over the years.
Anyway, it reminded me that some resort not actually in Washington, DC recently had an ad in Endless Vacation.
Sure enough, on Page 85 of the September, 2014, issue, Vacation Village has an ad for their Presidential Resort at Chancellorsville. It says the resort "abuts" Civil War battlefields. It says the Amtrak station is 11 miles away and the trip to Washington, DC is 62 miles.
The trip, by the way, is "stress-free."
