  • Need feedback on Clarion Suits VA BEach

Does anyone have general info for the Clarion Suits Time share program on 501 Atlantic Ave? I am thinking of purchasing a week but would like to hear from current owners.

    Thanks

I assume you are referring to the Beach Quarters at the Clarion Resort. I own a 1 BR unit there. What kind of information are you seeking?

      Clarion VA Beachh

      Thanks Somerville for response

I see a lot of neg reviews of the Clarion. Sometime the positive feedbacks never make it to print. However, the neg feedback I read has to do with:

      1. very tight parking in garage. If you have a SUV forget about parking there. I am from N.E. and we have a SUV.
      2. Rooms too small, we are looking to buy a 1 br with two queen bds and 1 sleep sofa. This unit is Max OCC 6 people.
      3. I am told the rooms were recently renovated and are very clean. Are you satisfied ?
      4. What do you feel a Fair mrk value is for a room such as the one I described?
5 how long have you had you unit?

Thank You for taking the time to provide feedback

Bob, I have owned my unit for 5 or 6 years. Beach Quarters is a converted suites type hotel. The rooms are small. I have rented out my unit for the last few years, so I haven't seen it for awhile. I do understand that improvements were made after Hurricane Isabel caused damage a couple of years ago. Generally, I have been happy with the maintenance of the unit. Most of the units are one bedroom. There are two one bedroom sizes. The one that sleeps 6 has two double beds in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa. In my opinion, it would be very tight for 6 people. The kitchen is small. It is like one you might find in an efficiency apartment. The garage is tight and can require maneuvering to get around in. I have seen SUVs parked there, however. The resort is in a good location, and all units are oceanfront. Personally, I would only buy a summer week. One bedroom summer weeks can be found for under $5K. If you can find a two bedroom summer week for a reasonable price, I wouldn't hesitate.

          Clarion

          Thanks Somerville

The information you provided is exactly what I was looking for . The unit I am looking at is well over 5K, from your comment on cost I will keep looking for something in the range of that price even if I have to wait until off season. I like that end of the beach. Once again Thanks.

            Clarion

We did a walk through and found it to be nothing special. At the time it was barely holding onto a 5-star rating.

If you are seriously interested make a reasonable offer on the unit that is offered so high. You might be suprised.

we just got back from a stay there. The garge is pure danger way to tight. The rooms are very small but your on the ocean. The ocean view is from the living room. The bed room is in the front near the entrance door. You wont be going to sleep with the sound of the ocean unless you sleep on the pull out. The pools have way way way to much clorine im not sure how anyone swims in them. This is not imo a 5 star resort. That said ocean front is limmited. You may try and find the ocean beach club the 2 bed room is decent. For me i wouldnt pay anything close to 5g's for the clarion.
