  • 3BR Villas at Fairway - PA

I am concerned regarding the TUG and Tripadvisor reviews on this resort, but I remember reading that the 3BR units are really very nice. Does anyone have any recent experience with this resort? Thank you.

The 3BR units are gorgeous!!! We have stayed in a 3BR on an exchange twice in the past 3 years...and haven't had any problems. I know that reports on the 2BRs have been very unflattering...but we've had nothing but spacious, well equipped, nicely decorated units in the 3BR unit.

As for other areas of the resort...the indoor pool areas were loud, dirty and not in the best condition. (We were there in Nov. both visits) The "game room" at Fernwood was well liked by my 3 kids....of course, it is very loud, but they had a good time playing videogames, pool, etc. The mini golf area wasn't in the best condition....leaves/debris on the course. We booked the exchange during Thanksgiving week each time...and used it mainly to relax in the unit...and explore the Pocono area. I would give th unit itself a 9.5...and the rest of the resort a 5.

Frank has posted in any thread I have indicated that I was looking at Treetops that he has a low oppinion of the resort and it almost makes me sad as I stayed there at least four times back 20+ years ago as a kid...

As a teen we always had a great time with lots of activities and I remember the units as good sized and in really nice shape.

I really nead to rent into the resort and see if things have got so bad...

We stayed in the 3 bedroom Fairway Villas last October. It was beautiful. I did a review on tug.

We didn't get the one on our exchange confirmation but it was wonderful.

Only 4 or 5 steps down into our unit (unit is two story). Other units have many steps.

I would go back in a heartbeat.

The 3 bedroom units at Fairway are nice. It is Tree tops that gives me the jitters. We had 6 rooms one year, All 6 rooms had some sort of problem from the water backing out of the showers to the furniture having major damage to the stink in the bedrooms. The resort amenity's as far as the snow tubbing was great. We were a large group and was treated very well. The main lodge in Fern wood needs to be knocked down, Food there was not a place I would eat at.

Not nearly as nice as the 3 bedroom units. But still Better than the tree tops units. Keep in mind that the Fairway units are in the new section. That is the good part. The bad part is you are much further away from the main resort activities.

Ay yi yi. Why do the timeshares in the Poconos have to be so bad? I just don't get it. And I have pretty modest standards--we think of River Village II at Shawnee as okay, although admittedly not great. The descriptions of most Poconos resorts just make me crrrriiiinnnggge!
